Is “NARENDRA MODI” our role model ???

              As the days are approaching for Loksabha elections, to depose the Corrupt, Incompetent administration of UPA - II led by Congress, BJP is day–dreaming that the Power will be handed over by the Public to the NDA coalition led by the “Messenger of development. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Sri NARENDRA MODI.” Corporate media sponsored candidate Narendra Modi is also receiving a planned publicity. It is being said that, “Modi is India’s Youth Icon’’ and also Indian Youth will accept his leadership. 
 Narendra Modi, “Gujarat state’s Messenger of Development.” This image of his is in the way of misleading the people. Gujarat is way too far when it comes to literacy. According to UNDP report, Gujarat lies in 18^th position in the number of school going children, the rate of pre–university pursuers is a mere 39.3%. Another certainly observable point is that the rate of SC/ST students who have stayed away from school is 57.9% which is more than India’s total rate of 49.3%. Employment has become Inaccessible, Gujarat’s unemployment rate has reached 80%. Narendra Modi’s government is not taking any effectual steps in tackling unemployment. The rate of Malnourishment is high in Gujarat State. Only one fourth of the families have the basic facility of Water, Hygiene & Electricity in this state. The system of removal of Human Excreta (scavenging) manually, which is a Human Right Violation, is still in practice in 126 places of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. This fact is revealed by a survey conducted by an organization called “Manav Garima”. People of Gujarat themselves feel that, Narendra Modi’s way of administration is a kind of Dictatorial rather than Democratic. If this state is keenly observed, it is easily cognizable that the development is only with the Capitalists. Exodus of poor farmers in the name of Industries, and Construction of Concrete walls, fly-overs, four lane roads are ostentated as development. This is the state in which the perpetrators of the schematic genocide of Muslims in the aftermath of Godhra massacre are still in the open and far from punishment. This fact has been concealed. And also the publicists are hiding the fact that the chief minister himself is facing the enquiry in Ehsan Jaffrey’s murder and Fake Encounter cases. The shell game to provoke and corrupt the minds of innocent Hindu youths in the name of “Narendra Modi Brigade” is bemasked. Hitler’s regimen contained such type of brigades. On this dangerous resemblance, a veil of development is put over it. Narendra Modi, whose own state people’s welfare is improperly governed, through few mediums and social networking websites, he is trying to allure people of India, specially the youths. Is 120 Crore peopled India’s development, maintaining religious harmony, improving the education system, protection of dalits and tribal people’s rights, generating employment, labour class and working class’ demands, women and children’s safety and development possible??. He cannot be the India’s Youth Icon,

ಜನ ನಾಯಕ ಸುಭಾಶ್ ಚಂದ್ರ ಬೋಸ್ ಅವರ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರ 

ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದ ಕಿಚ್ಚು ಹಚ್ಚಿತ್ತು, ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನ  ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಹೋರಾಟ ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೀದಿಗಿಳಿದರು.  ಇಂದಿನ ನಮ್ಮ ಜನ 
ನಾಯಕರ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಗಳು ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಜನರ ಮನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿಚ್ಚನ್ನೂ ಹಚ್ಚುತ್ತದೆ ಹಾಗು ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರನ್ನು ಹೋರಾಟಕ್ಕೂ ಇಳಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. 
ವಿಪರ್ಯಾಸವೆಂದರೆ ಈ ಹೋರಾಟ, ನಾಯಕರ ಆ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧವೇ ಆಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯ ಒಂದು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯೆಂದರೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿಯವರ ಪುತ್ರ, ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸಂಸದ ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿಯವರ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ "ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹುತೇಕರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರೇ ಅಲ್ಲ,'ನೆಗ್ಗಿಹೋದವರು ಹಾಗು ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಳಿದುಕೊಂಡವರು'".
ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ಅವರ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ ರೇಪ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನ್ನು ಖಂಡಿಸಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಹಾಗು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿಯರ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿತ್ತು.  


ಈ ಅವಮಾನಕಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸ್ವತಃ ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ ಅವರ ಸಹೋದರಿ ಶರ್ಮಿಷ್ಟೆ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿಯವರೇ ಗರಂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು ಹಾಗು ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ ಅವರ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಜನತೆಯ ಕ್ಷಮೆಯನ್ನು ಕೋರಿದರು. ಇನ್ನು ಗ್ಯಾಂಗ್ ರೇಪ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಿಂದ ಸಹನೆ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ಡ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಈ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಪಿತ್ಥ ನೆತ್ತಿಗೇರುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ ಅವರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪ್ರತಿಭಟನೆಗಳು ಶುರುವಾದವು, ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು ಖಂಡಿಸಿದವು, ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡರು ಟೀಕಿಸಿದರು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರಂತೂ ಅಬ್ಬರಿಸಿದರು ಈ ಅಬ್ಬರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆದರೋ(ಅಥವ ಎಚ್ಚರವಾಗೋ) ಅಂತು ಅಭಿಜಿತ್ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ತಪ್ಪನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿ ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಕ್ಷಮೆ ಕೋರಿದರು.
ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಜನರಿಗೇನು ಹೊಸತಲ್ಲ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ನಾಡಿನ ಕೆಲವು ಗಣ್ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಲು ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಲೀಸರು ಬಂಧಿಸಿದಾಗ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಮುಖಂಡ ಎ.ಕೆ.ಸುಬ್ಬಯ್ಯ ನವರು "ಬಂಧಿತರು ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿಗಳಲ್ಲ ಅಮಾಯಕರು" ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು.    


ಇನ್ನು ಬಾಟ್ಲಾ ಹೌಸ್ ಪ್ರಕರಣವನಂತ್ತೂ ನಮ್ಮ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರು ದಿಕ್ಕು ತಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲು ಒಂದು ವೇದಿಕೆಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಪ್ರಕರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಮುಜಾಹಿದ್ದೀನ್ ಸಂಘಟನೆಯ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಉಗ್ರಗಾಮಿಗಳು ಪೋಲೀಸ್ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ದಕ್ಷ ಪೋಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಮೋಹನ್ ಚಂದ್ ಶರ್ಮರವರು ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ದುರದೃಶ್ಟವಶಾತ್, ಪ್ರಾಣದ ಹಂಗು ತೊರೆದು ಹೋರಾಡಿದ ಪೋಲೀಸರ ಹಾಗು ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನೇ ತೊರೆದ ಮೋಹನ್ ರವರ ಸಾಹಸ, ಶೌರ್ಯಗಳು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣಲೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರನ್ನು ನಕಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹಾಗು ಇದರ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಂಗ ತನಿಖೆಯಾಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸತೊಡಗಿದರು. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟು 'ಓಟ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್' ನಾಟಕವಾಡಿದ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಹಾಗು ಎಸ್.ಪಿ ನಾಯಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಟನಾ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಬೀತುಪಡಿಸಿದರು.  ಈ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಅಂದಿನ ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವ ಪಿ.ಚಿದಂಬರಮ್ ಅವರು ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ನಕಲಿಯಲ್ಲ ಅಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು ಸಹ ನಾಯಕ ನಟರು(ರಾಜಕೀಯ) ತಮ್ಮ ಪಟ್ಟು ಸಡಿಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಜ್ಯಾತ್ಯತೀತ ನಾಯಕ ನಟ ದಿಗ್ವಿಜಯ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರಂತು ತಮ್ಮ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸರಿಯದೇ, ತಾವೇ ಸ್ವತಃ ತನಿಖೆ ನಡೆಸಿದವರಂತೆ ಇದು ನಕಲಿ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ಎಂದು ಪುನಃ ವಾದಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.



ಒಂದು ಸಮಾಧಾನಕರ ವಿಷಯ ಏನೆಂದರೆ, ಈ ಎನ್ ಕೌಂಟರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರಾದ ಇನ್ ಸ್ಪೆಕ್ಟರ್ ಮೋಹನ್ ಚಂದ್ ಶರ್ಮರವರಿಗೆ ಆಶೋಕ ಚಕ್ರ ಲಭಿಸಿದ್ದು.


"ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಜಗದ ನಿಯಮ" ಜಗತ್ತೇ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ನಾಯಕರು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬದಲಾಗುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಕಾರಣ? ಅದೇ ಕೆಟ್ಟ "ರಾಜ'ಕಾರಣ'".

A Vantage Point to think about CORRUPTION.

Today marks the 11^th anniversary on the attack of the heart of our constitution, THE PARLIAMENT. This one event which questioned the vulnerability and permeability of any place in INDIA. Only one word comes to our minds, CORRUPTION. A few points below which elucidates why corruption prevails in India till date. Please read and opine.

Indians are Hobbesian. (Culture of Opportunism) 


Corruption in India is a cultural facet. 

Indians seem to think nothing bizarre about corruption .It is omnipresent... 
 
Indians tolerate corrupt individuals rather than correct them. 
 
No race can be congenitally corrupt. 
But can a race be corrupted by its culture? 
 
To know why Indians are corrupt, 
look at their patterns and practices. 
 
First- 
 
Religion is transactional in India. 
Indians give God cash and anticipate an out-of-turn reward. 
Such a plea acknowledges that favours are needed for the undeserving. 
 
In the world outside the temple walls, 
such a deal is named- “bribe”. 
 
A wealthy Indian gives not cash to temples, 
but gold crowns and such baubles. 

His gifts can not feed the poor. His pay-off is for God. 
He thinks it will be wasted if it goes to a needy man. 
 
In June 2009, The Hindu published a report on the then Karnataka minister G.Janardhan Reddy gifting a crown of gold and diamonds worth Rs. 45 crore (Rs. 450 million) to Tirupati. 
 
India’s temples collect so much that 
they don't know what to do with it. 
Billions are gathering dust in temple vaults. 
 
When Europeans came to India they built schools. 
When Indians go to Europe & USA, they build temples. 
 
Indians believe that if God accepts money for his favours, then nothing is wrong in doing the same thing with the people.
This is why Indians are so easily corruptible. 
 
Indian culture adapts such transactions morally. 

There is no real stigma. An utterly corrupt politician can make a comeback, just unthinkable in the West. 
 
 
Second - 
 
Indian moral ambiguity towards corruption is visible in its history.
Indian history tells us of the capture of cities and kingdoms after guards were paid off to open the gates, and commanders paid off to surrender. 
 
This is unique to India. 
 
Indians' corrupt nature has meant limited warfare on the subcontinent. 
It is striking how little, Indians have actually fought compared to ancient Greece and modern Europe. 
 
The Turks’ battles with Nadir Shah were fiendish and fought to the finish. (1743-1746 AD) 
 
In India fighting wasn't needed, bribing was enough to vanquish armies. 
 
Any aggressor willing to spend cash could brush aside India’s kings, no matter how many tens of thousands soldiers were in their infantry. 
 
Little resistance was given by the Indians at the “Battle” of Plassey. (1757 AD)
Robert Clive paid off Mir Jafar and all of Bengal folded to an army of 3,000. 
 
There was always a financial exchange to taking Indian forts. 
Golconda was captured in 1687 after the secret back door was left open. 
 
Mughals defeated Marathas and Rajputs with nothing but bribes. 
 
The Raja of Srinagar gave up Dara Shikoh’s son Sulaiman to Aurangzeb after receiving a bribe.

Mir Sadiq, a minister under Tipu Sultan led to the downfall of Mysore in Anglo-Mysore war by selling his loyalty to British. (1798-1799 AD)
 
There are many cases where Indians participated on a large scale in betrayal due to bribery. 
 
Question is: Why Indians have a transactional culture while other 'civilized' nations don't? 

 
Third - 
 
Indians do not believe in the theory that they all can rise if each of them behaves morally, because that is not the message of their faith. 
 
Their caste system separates them. 
They don't believe that all men are equal. 
This resulted in their division and migration to other religions. 
 
Many Hindus started their own faith like Sikhism, Jainism, Buddhism and many converted to Christianity and Islam. 
 
The result is that Indians don't trust one another.
 
There are no Indians in India, there are 
Hindus, Christians, Muslims and what not. 
 
Indians forget that 400 years ago they all belonged to one faith. 
 
This division evolved an unhealthy culture. 
The inequality has resulted in a corrupt society. 
 
In India every one is thus against everyone else, except God ­and even he must be bribed.

{Finishing on a funny note..  Afzal Guru, the main convict in the parliament attack case should be hanged in the first place. Because he is a disgrace to the clan of terrorists, he did not kill even a single corrupt politician present in parliament on that day.}

DAY OF DELAY

I have started this blog on the day of historic significance, when people were engrossed in a whimsical cloud of smoke created by the news blast from the news channels concerning the sudden implementation of the decision delivered by the Honorable Supreme court of India. The capital punishment to Ajmal Kasab(no introduction required).

People swarmed the streets distributing sweets and lighting firecrackers in celebration. Concurrently, there was a debate raised whether or not to celebrate the death of a person. There were questions about human rights, civilizations and culture of India. Well, there have always been celebrations of victory of good over evil since ages. Still today we celebrate Dussehra on account of Lord Rama’s victory over evil Ravana. Diwali for killing Narakasura by Lord Krishna and so on. But in this case, celebration has no meaning when there is so much delay (4 years) in the execution of Kasab, which was supposed to be done immediately when he was captured with ample evidence. This questions the merits of legal proceedings in India. Like somebody said, “Celebrating and congratulating the government for hanging Kasab is like congratulating China for eating noodles”. We should rather be inglorious that it took us 4 long years. At least now, let those lost lives get some peace.
